Eligibility for the Harvard Environmental Fellows Program 2025
Candidates must meet the following criteria to apply for the Harvard Environmental Fellows Program 2025:
- Must have completed a PhD between May 2021 and August 2025. Dissertations must be submitted by September 2025.
- Open to PhD holders in any discipline, including those with equivalent degrees in fields where a PhD is not standard.
- Harvard postdoctoral fellows or alumni can apply if they pursue new research directions unrelated to their previous work.
- Applicants must secure a commitment from one or more Harvard faculty members to act as their mentor for the fellowship. Faculty members from the 2024 cohort are not eligible to host fellows in 2025.
- Foreign nationals are welcome to apply but must demonstrate English proficiency.
- Fellows must reside in the Cambridge area and be willing to travel for fieldwork during the fellowship.
