This program is part of Oxford’s Graduate Scholarship initiative, designed to fully fund talented students. The University provides 40% of the funding, while the remaining 60% comes from generous donors to Somerville College.

The scholarship encourages academic and professional growth by supporting students with outstanding potential. However, it is awarded only through Somerville College. Therefore, applicants who initially choose other colleges will be transferred to Somerville to accept the scholarship.

Students applying for a new, full-time or part-time course in one of the following departments are eligible:

  • Faculty of English Language and Literature
  • Department of Engineering Science
  • Faculty of Law
