Eligible Fields of Study at Shanghai Government Scholarships (SGS) for International Students 2025

The scholarship is available for most Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral programs offered at Donghua University, excluding the B.A. in Chinese Language.

Types of scholarship

The SGS program offers two types of scholarships:

  • Type A (Full Scholarship): Covers tuition, medical insurance, on-campus accommodation, and a monthly stipend.
  • Type B (Partial Scholarship): Covers tuition and medical insurance only.

Eligibility Criteria 

To apply for the SGS, candidates must:

  • Be non-Chinese citizens in good health.
  • Meet specific age and academic requirements:
    • Bachelor’s: Must be a high school graduate under 25.
    • Master’s: Must hold a Bachelor’s degree and be under 35.
    • Doctoral: Must hold a Master’s degree and be under 40.

Benefits of the Shanghai Government Scholarship 2025
