Eligibility for the Governance for Development in Africa Initiative PhD Scholarship
Eligible applicants must:
- Be African nationals.
- Hold an unconditional offer for a PhD in an eligible department at SOAS by the application deadline.
Selection Criteria for GDAI PhD Scholarship Applicants
Selection is based on academic excellence, with applicants reviewed by a panel of SOAS faculty members. The relevance of the research proposal to governance and development themes is also considered.

Scholarship Benefits for GDAI PhD Scholarship Recipients
